Constant State of Flux
Welcome to the LexieCon!So there’s still some dust settling from the renovations and a couple of pages are still undergoing work. Things will change in minor or possibly major ways as I try to figure out what works best for the website. I’ll be punching up the main site, for example, with more news, etc. etc.
I wanted to take a couple of minutes today to talk about the blog. A state of the blog address, if you will. Kind of early for it, three entries in, but I figure it’s good to know some things ahead of time. For example: those of you that know me are aware that I can disappear for long periods of time, especially if I’m deep in a project. I am hoping to change that with this blog.
New posts will go up on Wednesdays and Sundays. I might figure out a better schedule and change up the frequency at any time. I have a spreadsheet of topics to cover and tags to use to make the blog easier to navigate (a widget for tags is coming!). Tags about the writing process and writing I’m doing will be housed under the Writing Life tag, I’ve got a DIY tag, Real Life Adventures for the things I go out and do, Mama Dunne gets a tag, and I’ll have disambiguating tags for various topics to come.
Right now it’s 86 days until the release of SUPERHEROES ANONYMOUS. Coming up in the next few months, I’ll be releasing the sample chapters on the blog, there will be giveaways, I’ll have other authors pop by to say hi, I’ll (hopefully) do the same to other authors, newsletter progress, rants, musings about life, writing talk, comic book talk, so on and so forth.
Here’s where I turn it around, though. What do YOU want to see on this blog? And remember, if you’ve got a writing question or just a general question, you can find me on any one of my social media platforms listed on my sidebar, or I have that contact form!
Stay sexy!
Lexie
(I’m deep in a final bout of editing/polishing SUPERHEROES ANONYMOUS, so this was written on Thursday. Things may have changed between then and now)
PS - I TOOK THE ALS ICE BUCKET CHALLENGE:
Oooh, disambiguating tags. That takes me bag to my Ao3 wrangler days. :P
