What are your books about?

Superheroes. That are anonymous!

…okay, here’s the first one. It’s your typical, boy saves girl, boy saves girl again, boy saves girl a third time, boy keeps saving girl, girl thinks maybe the events might be connected, and then all hell breaks loose story. I promise terrible jokes, witty superheroes, and a really great character that probably has a secret handshake with Cordelia Chase. In the sequel, I promise even more of that, plus added supervillains.

So when you say you’re a professional author now, does that mean, like, for real?

I hope so! I mean, I have an agent and everything. I’m being repped by Rebecca Strauss from DeFiore & Company, out of New York. My editor and my agent have the same first name and it trips up everybody in my life because I forget to use their last names.

Will you introduce me to your agent/editor/read my book?

I’m really not comfortable with doing any of that? I’m sorry. I’m always here if you have a question about something to do with writing (you can ask on my Tumblr or my Twitter or via my contact page), but I’m still so new to this professional writing thing that I have a lot of work ahead of me, and I really don’t want to bother my editor and my agent with this stuff when they also have so much to do. Whatever you’re working on, though, keep at it! You can do it. I didn’t think I had a shot in hell when I submitted to the Harper Collins open submission in 2012, and now look at me. I have a website with my professional picture on it and everything!

What is UP with that cliffhanger?

I am an awful person. Luckily the second book is out.

When is the third book out?

Hopefully September 20th! If all goes well, that is. This date can change!

What's it called?

At this point, your guess is as good as mine.

Is the Superheroes Anonymous series your only project?

Only one getting published, currently. But I'm working on two other books and a novella because apparently sleep is something that happens to other people. When I can say more about them, I will. But I have progress bars and fun titles on my Upcoming page so you can see what I'm writing on currently.
