Hello!

So as you're probably aware by this point, two things have happened:

1: I have been published thanks to an open submission process a few years ago through Harper Voyager (Impulse), which means that along with me, there were quite a few other authors.

2: It is February, which means it is Valentine's Day.

The authors and I have put our heads together to tackle these problems together and we bring you:

THE VOYAGER VALENTINE'S CHARACTER DATING SERVICE (Paraphrased)

That's right.

All fictional characters, all fictional dates. What does that mean, exactly? Well, it means a lot of authors and myself are all posting dating profiles for our beloved characters and we want YOU, the readers, to match these characters up. Send them on the craziest dates possible!

But Lexie, what do I get out of it?

Besides the hilarity of making Gail date the captain of an Asteroid Miner? Setting Blaze up with a soldier? It turns out that my fellow authors are waaaaay less curmudgeonly than me and a lot of them are doing giveaways. Chocolate! Free books! ...Other stuff that's not chocolate and free books! (I am super well prepared, you guys, can you tell?) And the best part? It's FUN and it's EASY.

So follow me on Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, whatever social media platform you choose, or just watch the blog (I'll be using Voyager Valentines as my tag) and I'll be sending you to lovely places with lovely people who have lovely free stuff they want to give you because, I dunno, Valentine's Day or something. Hurrah!

And now, without further ado, I PRESENT TO YOU THE SUPERHERO DATING PROFILES OF GAIL GODWIN AND HER GUY BLAZE.

Thank you to the amaaaaaaaaazing Mike for that awesome fanart of Gail that I totally stole without warning him. Go throw Mike some love. Mike is great!

  2. Gail and DETECTIVE STRONGOAK.
Gail is witty while Strongoak seems to take things literally.
Gail likes having no work... A detective for hire probably has almost no work.
Gail also likes biceps. From what I read, dwarves are usually much stronger than humans.
Her perfect home is a fortress? Strongoak is a guy who collects hand axes for a hobby! And he lives in a place called The Citadel.
